J.M. Neil & Assoc., Inc. (JMN) was founded by JoAnne Ross Mina in 1986 as a Full Service Employment Agency. She was an entrepreneur, redefining the role of staffing companies and was a successful business woman, mentoring many other companies and small businesses. Ms. Mina operated the company in downtown Kansas City until 1991 when the company was downsized. The company was restructured in 1994, and grew from three employees, one of which was Ms. Mina’s daughter, Colleen Ellis, to over 200 employees today. Ms. Ellis was instrumental in the company’s acquisition of first tier supplier status for a nationally prominent technology/telecommunications corporation. The full service, staffing and personnel consulting agency, has a 22-year track record of meeting personnel needs for their national clientele in the fields of Information Technology; engineering; technical disciplines; accounting and finance; administrative staffing; legal support; telecommunications; call centers; marketing; and human resources. The JMN corporate headquarters purchased their south Kansas City location in 1995 and expanded their services to working with local, regional and federal government agencies as well as private business. In July of 2007 Ms. Mina passed away, at which time her daughter and protégé became President and CEO. "JM Neil has grown with Kansas City businesses, and delivers best practices both in recruiting and in staff management, especially in technical and engineering fields under the guidance of CEO Colleen Ellis. JM Neil also has an excellent reputation for its ability to mentor and cultivate its recruits and employees."
